Det finl\u00e4ndska f\u00f6retaget Clean Steel International Ab har patenterat sin metod Smart Blasting som f\u00f6rnyar de tidigare metoderna att reng\u00f6ra pannor som producerar bioenergi. Metoden har nu patenterats i Finland och utvidgningen av patenten till \u00f6vriga Europa och Latinamerika har inletts.<\/p>\n

Smart Blasting-metoden anv\u00e4nds t.ex. av pappers- och massafabriker, avfallsf\u00f6rbr\u00e4nningsanl\u00e4ggningar, s\u00e5gverk samt CHP-anl\u00e4ggningar. Utvecklingsarbetet grundar sig p\u00e5 Clean Steels \u00f6nskan att l\u00f6sa det globalt identifierade problemet med f\u00f6rbr\u00e4nning av biomassa d\u00e4r askan fr\u00e5n f\u00f6rbr\u00e4nningen samlar p\u00e5 pannans v\u00e4rme\u00f6verf\u00f6ringsytor och f\u00f6rs\u00e4mrar d\u00e4rmed pannans funktion och drifts\u00e4kerhet.<\/p>\n

– Kretsloppsekonomin har inneburit diversifiering av de br\u00e4nslen som anv\u00e4nds i energiproduktionen, och de \u201dsv\u00e5ra\u201d br\u00e4nslen \u00e4r h\u00e4r f\u00f6r att stanna. Man br\u00e4nner allt och f\u00f6rvandlar allt till energi. Det \u00e4r ju klokt p\u00e5 m\u00e5nga s\u00e4tt, men medf\u00f6r samtidigt utmaningar f\u00f6r pannans felfria funktion och f\u00f6r hanteringen av nedsmutsningen.\u00a0N\u00e4r man i pannorna p\u00e5 fabriker och v\u00e4rmeproduktionsanl\u00e4ggningar br\u00e4nner st\u00f6rre volymer av t.e.x. industrins sidostr\u00f6mmar, uppst\u00e5r det \u00e4ven betydligt mer aska och den som anv\u00e4nder pannan st\u00e5r inf\u00f6r en ny situation, ber\u00e4ttar f\u00f6retagets f\u00f6rs\u00e4ljningschef Vesa Railamaa.<\/p>\n

De traditionella reng\u00f6ringsmetoderna f\u00f6r v\u00e4rme\u00f6verf\u00f6ringsytorna av olika pannor kan inte alltid garantera att v\u00e4rme\u00f6verf\u00f6ringsytorna blir helt rena.\u00a0
– T.ex. vid sandbl\u00e4string l\u00e4mnas ofta ett tunt lager av smuts p\u00e5 v\u00e4rme\u00f6verf\u00f6ringsytan av s\u00e4kerhetssk\u00e4l eftersom man inte f\u00e5r ta bort ens en tusendedel av en millimeter av pannans yta. N\u00e4r det rengjorda ytan t\u00e4cks av ett tunt lager av smuts, kan man inte uppt\u00e4cka effekterna av korrosion och erosion vid okul\u00e4r inspektion. Om ytan dessutom \u00e4r str\u00e4v fastnar ny smuts p\u00e5 den \u00e4nnu l\u00e4ttare, f\u00f6rklarar Railamaa.<\/p>\n

– Vi t\u00e4nkte att det m\u00e5ste finnas ett b\u00e4ttre s\u00e4tt att reng\u00f6ra pannor. Vi provade olika metoder att effektivt ta bort smuts utan att skada pannans r\u00f6rsystem. I samband med detta uppt\u00e4ckte vi slagg som uppst\u00e5r som biprodukt av nickelproduktionen. Metoden avl\u00e4gsnar smutsen effektivt och bildar en smutsavvisande kromoxidf\u00f6rening p\u00e5 de ytor som reng\u00f6rs. F\u00f6r kunden \u00e4r den mest betydande f\u00f6rdelen att energiproduktionen effektiviseras och att eventuella driftproblem som orsakas av nedsmutsning minimeras. Flera av v\u00e5ra kunder har m\u00e4rkt detta redan vid f\u00f6rsta anv\u00e4ndningen, forts\u00e4tter Railamaa.<\/p>\n

F\u00f6retaget l\u00e4t Teknologiska forskningscentralen VTT Ab testa metoden och beslutade d\u00e4refter att ans\u00f6ka om patent f\u00f6r metoden. Patentprocessen tog tre och ett halvt \u00e5r.<\/p>\n

– Detta \u00e4r ett viktigt steg f\u00f6r oss. Vi vill bevisa f\u00f6r de globala akt\u00f6rerna i branschen att vi \u00e4r en p\u00e5litlig partner. Vi innehar pr\u00f6vad kompetens som ger betydande ekonomisk nytta f\u00f6r v\u00e5ra kunder.
